Our ASCE student chapter proudly competes each year in the Gulf Coast Student Symposium, a regional event that brings together civil engineering students from universities across Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. The symposium features a variety of technical and design-based competitions, including Concrete Canoe, Steel Bridge, Surveying, and Sustainable Solutions. It’s a highlight of our academic year, giving our members the opportunity to apply engineering principles in real-world scenarios, collaborate as a team, and network with peers and professionals. Preparing for and competing in the symposium helps us grow as future engineers while representing our university on a regional stage.
